MUMBAI: There are some things that are extra special to us. Life moments that we wish to cherish for long and forever. People that we love and grateful are for, but don’t get to convey it to them as often. While, gratitude doesn't have to exist in the form of sweeping gestures, even little thoughtful gestures can mean overwhelmingly so much to our loved ones.
Sony Entertainment Television’s show Mere Sai is a special show. The show has garnered a dedicated following of its own over the years and is religiously loved by the viewers. The current track on the show centres around ‘Superstition’ and has eminent TV actor Jiten Lalwani playing a pivotal character on the show. For Jiten, this particular track is extremely close to his heart as personally too, he condemns the blind faith in illogical superstitious acts and urges everyone to be more aware. Since, Jiten feels so passionately about this issue, he has decided to dedicate his role in Mere Sai to his wife. Both Jiten and his wife are two very open-minded individuals who take the similar approach towards superstition i.e being very rational and practical about unfounded belief.
Sharing his thoughts on the same, Jiten said, “Thankfully, my wife and I share a similar perspective and opinion when it comes to important matters. And this blind and flawed faith system that’s so deeply imbibed in our culture, it’s something we both can’t stand. Hence, being a part of Mere Sai for this very track hits home. So, I’ve decided to dedicate my role to my better half, who’s not just an incredible wife, but a wonderfully holistic human. I am extremely fortunate to have her by my side.”
The track will unfold the story of how Sai will help Jiten’s character ‘Gangadhar’ come out of his Guru’s trance and make him finally understand the futility of baseless superstitions and the consequent harm it causes.
Watch Jiten Lalwani as Gangadhar in Mere Sai – Shraddha Aur Saburi, Monday to Friday at 7 PM only on Sony Entertainment Television.
