The year also witnessed the passing of some talented, dazzling and iconic personalities of Telugu cinema.
Let’s take a look at the list of popular Telugu celebrities who breathed their last in 2020.
SP Balasubrahmanyam: One among the greatest playback singers ever in Indian cinema, Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam, fondly known as SP Balasubrahmanyam breathed his last on the afternoon of September 25th at a private hospital in Chennai. In early August, the 74-year-old was hospitalised after testing positive for COVID-19 with ‘very mild symptoms’. However, his health condition deteriorated further in the next few weeks and was kept on ECMO and other life support measures. Just when it looked like SPB was making steady progress towards betterment, his condition turned ‘extremely critical’ and eventually, he passed away at 1:04 PM.

Jaya Prakash Reddy: Senior actor Jaya Prakash Reddy breathed his last on the morning of September 8th at his residence in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. According to family members, he suffered a massive cardiac arrest and collapsed in the bathroom.
Raavi Kondala Rao: Veteran cine, stage actor and journalist Raavi Kondala Rao breathed his last on July 28th in Hyderabad. While undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Somajiguda, the 88-year-old thespian passed away due to cardiac arrest.
Kosuri Venu Gopal: Popular Telugu actor Kosuri Venu Gopal passed away on the night of September 23rd in Hyderabad while undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at a private hospital. Due to the infectious virus, he suffered from breathlessness and was on life support in his last days.
