Time for some clarification…folks!!! Yesterday (27 September 2012), Tellychakkar.com carried a story which mentioned that shooting of Trilogy Krikos’ upcoming show for Star Plus, Khamoshiyaan, has been stalled due to cash crunch issue. The news created ripples in the industry water, and earlier in the day we received a call from Rohit Vaid, Founder and Managing Director of Trilogy Krikos, and he went ahead to clear the air from the production house’s perspective. “The shooting has been stalled but not because of cash crunch or anything. We shot and at this point of time have a bank of almost a month’s content. There is no point rolling more until and unless we get a confirmed launch date from the channel. That is the only reason, nothing else,” stated Rohit. There has also been a buzz on the makers not being happy with the show being allotted a 6.30pm slot. “All these are mere rumours. Slot has not been finalized at all. And Star Plus is industry leader…so we will be happy with any slot they give us. Promos will go on air shortly and most expectedly, Khamoshiyaan will hit the screens by end of October (2012).” Fair enough…moving on we quizzed Rohit on the entire non-payment issue on their other show on Zee TV, Hitler Didi. “Okay…tell me one thing…which production house does not face a cash flow situation? But that is a minor glitch. It’s not an issue at all.” But actress Smita Singh (who played Sunaina Bhabhi in Hitler Didi) went on record in media to state about non-payment? “Let me clear things out here. Her track in the show was not working. She did not want to be a part of the soap post leap. Later she went ahead to give a quote on non-payment in the media. We asked her to leave.” Hmm…we get that. But there is also a buzz that Hitler Didi may go off-air. “No way…we have even submitted a plan for the show’s progress for the next four months to the channel. It has been earning good numbers. There is no reason for it to get pulled off-air.” Finally…before bidding adieu…he stated, “We are currently shooting in Pune and Lonavla for our upcoming telefilm for Star Plus’ Teri Meri Love Stories series. We also have other shows planned about which I can talk in the near future. All I want to state is that Khamoshiyaan will soon go on-air and it will be a very good show.” Well…all the best Rohit to you and your projects!!!
