Sharad Kelkar, better known as Dr Ashutosh in Director Kut’s Productions’ Kuch Toh Log Kahenge on Sony Entertainment Television, is an actor by profession but in the serial he plays a surgeon. Tellychakkar.com speaks to the actor who talks about his life and the particular show. Shares Sharad, “Well, I love my show and before shooting the surgical sequences, we do some research for we need to be prepared. A similar kind of thing happens in shows shown on foreign channels too. For this, I have been getting rave reviews by the doctors all across. When we go overboard, we are called over by doctors who say that whatever we have shown was not right. Occasionally, when I ask some doctors as to how we are faring, they say that it was perfect because even in hospital we do share our personal lives as is shown in the show. There are link ups and marriages happening within the doctors.” He continues, “When I recently underwent a knee surgery, I asked the doctor concerned at the hospital about our show? The doctor promptly replied, “You are great as a doctor and the show is good but you must take care during the surgery acts. Rest all is fine, I felt good hearing that we are doing a good job.” “I must say I am learning a lot. There was an incident which I would like to share with you. I had gone on a holiday with my family when one of my family members fell down. I, like a doctor, started suggesting medicines, took him to doctor and started asking him to show me the medicines and the X-ray reports. The doctor looked amazed wondering that how could I being an actor talk as a doctor. My wife Kirti jokingly replied that I was a half doctor. I must say I have got the hangover of being a doctor. I can now proudly say I am a half doctor, “he concludes.
