MUMBAI: Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2 was one of the most loved shows on television and even as it was taken off television and shifted to the OTT medium, SonyLiv and there were questions whether the show will receive the same kind of response, it has been massively loved.
The audience is in love with the chemistry that Kanika Kapur and Mohit Kumar bring on the show. However, Kanika will soon exit the show making way for Vidhi Pandya as Suman. Tellychakkar.com contacted Suman and in an exclusive conversation, she revealed her excitement for playing the role.
Vidhi said, “All this while in my career I have been doing shows which have been in more dramatic shades and the characters are not my age and quite unlike the people we are in our day to day life but the role of Suman is a girl next door, who dresses up just like you do, is someone very relatable and one can actually see themselves in her. She is a simple girl who has dreams, wants to serve the nation just like her family has done. I am excited and nervous at the same time, it’s good nervousness! Kanika (Kapur) has done a fabulous job playing Suman and the audience has loved her so it’s good nervousness and I hope I can do justice to the character of Suman like she has done.
When asked about how challenging does she find it coming in as a replacement to Kanika for she is loved as Suman, Vidhi shared, “I don’t see this as a challenge actually because it is a very human reaction when you like a character and the actor enacting it. Someone coming in and taking their place is a slow process. I am not saying that people should or will forget Kanika and accept me but I hope to make a good place in everyone’s heart and I am working very hard. So I hope people love me and accept me.”
We also asked Vidhi about her bond with Mohit to which she exclaimed, “He is a buddy and he brings a lot of energy on the set of the show. He is loud and I am calm in nature so he quite balances the atmosphere on the sets!”
