Writer and Director Anish Sharon Khan's two upcoming series will sweep you off your feet!

MUMBAI: Tellychakkar brings to you an exclusive interview from the director and writer of an upcoming web series 'Banjar' and 'State of Balaganj'.  In our conversation with Anish Sharon Khan, we got an exclusive insight into how the show is going to take the viewers by shock with the kind of traditions it will bring to light.

Anish Sharon Khan has recently completed the shoot of his much-anticipated web series The Prayag Raj which has an ensemble cast with actors like Adhyan Suman, Sameeksha Gaur, Mukesh Tiwari, Arham Abbasi, Deep Raj Rana, Vikram Kochar, Garima Jain, and Darpan Srivastava playing key roles. The web-series is going to be a political drama, based on the infamous case of Madhumita Shukla, who was an aspiring political leader caught in the web of money and power.

The director is now all set to put his hands on two new projects titled- Banjar and State of Balaganj.

Spilling the beans on the web show Banjar he tells us, ''Banjar will be based on the age-old tradition of 'Hiring of Mothers' in a village in Madhya Pradesh where there are no women left now. The story goes back in time when due to no income and female foeticide there were no women left in the village making it the hub of unemployed men, who in desperation to increase their lineage then hired women from other villages to birth their 'Sons'. The movie will deal with many other social issues like Female Foeticide and Domestic Abuse too. The show will be produced by Ninja Ad films''

He continues, '' Through my films, I have always tried to bring forth those incidents and traditions which have long been forgotten by people and which needs to be told because they hold sheer injustice.

About State of Balaganj, Anish shares, ''The film will be on the lines of Saheb Biwi and Gangster and will also showcase social stigmas in our society. The project will be produced by Jills Play Productions''.

The director-writer concludes, ''I am looking forward to 2021 to give my best to these projects and many more to come in future.''

Well, both the projects seem to be very intriguing and something to look forward to.
