MUMBAI: Aarya Rawal, who played Shanno Singh in Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki is all set to bid adieu to the show after 4 years. The actress wasn’t happy with her remuneration and is currently serving her notice.
While she remained unavailable for comment, a source shared, “Aarya had allotted 25 days in a month to Shakti. However, she has shot for less than 12 days in the past few months. Money was another reason behind her decision to quit the show. Besides her fees being affected by the slashing of budgets, her income has reduced further as a result of shooting for a lesser number of days. She was happy with her role in the show as Shanno was one of the main negative characters, but she wasn’t happy with the fact that her track had reduced considerably. She tried to speak with the producers about it, but there was no response to her messages. She had to take this tough call as she needed to grow - both as an artiste as well as financially.”
Understandably, she is disheartened about leaving the show that she has been a part of for so many years. Things would have been different had the makers revised her remuneration.
