Tellychakkar.com had earlier reported that SAB TV’s upcoming show Jeannie Aur Juju is all set to take the 9.30 pm slot. This news raised a question mark on the future of R K Laxman Ki Duniya (which currently airs at the same slot) and producer J D Majethia had then confirmed that the time slot of his common man show was changing and it could be either be the early prime time (7-8pm) or any the other prime time (8-11pm) slot.
However… a media report while talking about Jeannie Aur Juju mentioned that R K Laxman Ki Duniya will soon go off air. But the information is utterly wrong.
We have learned that Jeannie Aur Juju will go on air from 5 November at the same abovementioned slot whereas R K Laxman Ki Duniya will shift to the 7.30 pm slot.
This was confirmed by Gulfam Khan who plays Rajni Amma in R K Laxman. When asked how this time slot change will affect her show that was not doing very good, Gulfam averred, “We will need to make our content more kid-friendly as early prime is best suited for the show. I hope the creatives focus more our Pillai family and also bring back Sachin and Aaji who were loved by the younger audiences.”
If R K Laxman Ki Duniya is moving to the 7.30 pm slot, it logically means that Golmaal Hai Bhai Sab Golmaal Hai which was shifted to 7.30 just from last Monday to accommodate Balveer will have to end or again face a time slot change. This Optimystix Entertainment show anyways has not doing well in terms of numbers.
We did send a text message to Anooj Kapoor, EVP and Business Head of SAB TV, and asked if Golmaal is going off air and he said “no”.
The shift was apparently resorted to in order to recover fixed costs, said a source.
We shall soon come up with more updates!!!
