MUMBAI: There are some shows which have gone on to become a massive hit on television.
One of the shows which we all adore till date is the story of Manav and Archana in Pavitra Rishta.
The story was relatable and soon managed to make its way into the common man’s hearts. The show narrated the tale of the unconditional love between a relatively less educated young woman Archana Karanjkar’s and a car mechanic Manav Deshmukh. The Late Sushant Singh Rajput essayed the role of Manav, while Ankita Lokhande was Archana. Sushant, who studied mechanical engineering and was a National Olympiad Winner in physics, found that communicating with the audience through his acting was a liberating experience and gave him the opportunity to become all that he ever wanted to be, albeit in reel life. Ankita, who was a state-level badminton player, was passionate about showcasing her talent on screen.
Both were fresh faces on television back then but boy did their chemistry sizzle on screen. So much so that viewers could not couldn't imagine them as separate entities. Well, we now see a common connection between this superhit show Star Plus show Ghum Hai Kiskey Pyaar Meiin.
Wondering what it is?
For starters, both the shows have a Marathi background. The way Marathi is fused with Hindi gives a classic touch to the regional tone and makes it relatable to the audience. Sushant and Ankita were a fresh pair and Neil Bhatt and Ayesha Singh are too! The narratives are absolutely different but the way the kitchen politics rolls out, it is a visual delight!
