Actress Adaa Khan emphasises on the need of staying fit over falling for the 'unrealistic' bikini body concept, READ

In a recent interview, while talking about her recent getaway to the Maldives, telly actress Adaa Khan talked about smashing the stigma related to the 'bikini-perfect body'.

MUMBAI: If there’s one thing that people are craving right now, it's to go on vacation and what better than hitting a beach with pristine blue water and white sand? That's exactly what Naagin actor Adaa Khan recently did by taking a trip to the Maldives.

Adaa said, “From rejuvenating and relaxing spa sessions, sumptuous cuisine, and culture to snorkeling I thoroughly enjoyed my time exploring the beautiful beaches.".

Adaa Khan is quite a travel-buff and has often been vocal about her love for travel, especially solo travel. Talking about her favourite destinations, she said, “I love beach holidays the most. My favourite destination in India is Goa, and as for international beach destinations, it has to be Ibiza and Spain. One of the reasons why I enjoy my beach vacays is because I get to flaunt the easy-breezy summer wear. From flowy dresses, shorts to the fun yet quirky beachwear I’m game for all.”.

On being asked about her 'must-have beach essentials', she informed, “Good quality sunglasses with UV protection, beach hats, and flip flops. I generally blend these essentials with outfits that are very bohemian in style or with flowy floral dresses and sarongs. For me, beachwear is all about keeping it easy breezy yet stylish.”.

But there's one thing Adaa feels strongly against and that's the pressure that some women feel to have the so-called 'perfect beach body'. She said, “These days there is some kind of pressure to have that perfect bikini body and I feel this is given too much unwanted attention. I believe one needs to be comfortable in what they wear and how they look. One should be happy and confident in their body and for that physical and mental fitness is a must. Staying healthy and fit is more important than running behind unrealistic beauty standards set by the society.”.
