MUMBAI: Earlier it was speculation but now it is conferenced that actor Ranbir Kapoor has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The actor's mother, Neetu Kapoor, has taken to Instagram to confirm the same.
Neetu shared a picture of Ranbir and mentioned that he is in home quarantine. She wrote, "Thank you for your concern and your good wishes Ranbir has tested positive for Covid-19. He is on medication and recovering well . He is in self quarantine at home and following all precautions."

Ranbir Kapoor is currently awaiting the release of Shamshera and Brahmastra. While Shamshera is set to hit the screens on June 25, 2021, the makers have not yet announced the release date of Brahmastra. Shamshera stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmashtra marks his first collaboration with girlfriend Alia Bhatt. The actor is also part of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal and Luv Ranjan’s untitled next.
Of late, the state of Maharashtra has been witnessing a rise in the number of coronavirus cases. Lockdown has also been imposed in some of the hotspots in Mumbai. Bollywood celebrities, politicians and others have been requesting people to take proper precautions and maintain social distancing because the pandemic is not behind us yet.
