MUMBAI: It was in the year 2009 when Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya first premiered and kept the audience hooked to their seats!
The audience just could not have enough of watching the show. Pooja Gor, Arhaan Behl, Anupam Shyam, Ankit Gera, Parvati Sehgal, Jaswant Menaria and the others were seen in very strong and powerful roles. The show narrated a story of how Pratigya is forced to marry her stalker, Krishna, a local goon. Although she falls in love with him eventually, she continues protesting against the male domination at her in-laws' place.
The tiff and the line between a literate Pratigya and an illiterate male chauvinist Sajjan Singh was very strong and the way Pratigya fought for the right was a visual delight. The show is once again back with a season 2 on Star Bharat and this time, the story will revolve around Thakur Sajjan Singh, who wants to take over and have power all over India. On the other hand, Pratigya who is a lawyer now and is ready to fight against the deep-rooted prejudices that are set in the Indian caste system.
The show has a promising start and it features Pratigya and Krishna living a happy married life. The chemistry between the two looks effortless and is a treat to the eyes!
Pooja is back with a bang and her emotions make you convince her that she is someone who is fierce and convinces us to believe that the character is for real. Anupam Shyam, as an antagonist, proves what fine acting actually is and strikes a good balance of power in the episodes.
