Humanity towards others is important: Hasan Zaidi

MUMBAI: Hasan Zaidi, best known for shows like “Ghar Ek Sapna”, “Powder”, “Khotey Sikkey” believes one must always be grateful for the life that they have and focus on enriching it by being compassionate towards others.

For Hasan, his philosophy of life is to observe without judgment, be empathetic and sympathetic towards everyone.

“…Never let anything toxic take away your aura or your energy,” he asserts.
We all are in a spiritual world, Hasan says, adding, everything around us has an aura, energy to feel things either in the beauty of nature, to help others and be empathetic.

Every day, Hasan, who is set to collaborate with director Zama Habib for a new show, feels grateful to the almighty, to the sun, moon, ocean, wind and all that he can see and feel.

“I am eternally thankful to every power of nature that nurtures us, that holds us and gives us the energy so much that we can learn from it,” he says, adding, he regularly reads namaz and offers water to the sun.

Citing an example of the proverb, ‘What we reap is what we sow’, Hasan believes there is an unknown supreme power in the form of god and whatever deeds we do good or bad they all come around.

“Humanity towards men, women, animals is very important. It’s part of our mental or physical structure; it is part of what we are supposed to be doing and what we are made to do. We cannot be in isolation; we have to be in tune with the higher power. We all should live in harmony that is the only way forward,” he adds.

Hasan, who seems to be a bookworm, believes all spiritual and religious books lead towards a simple way of living - which is harmony.

Talking about the lessons learnt from the pandemic, Hasan says, it has given everyone the opportunity to introspect, to come closer to our loved ones and that about requirements in life.

“All these materialistic things we do not require we can do without it. What matters is the love and support of each other, nourishment not just for the body but mind,” he shares.
