Aamir Khan’s unknown talent

As a guest judge on Saregamapa Challenge 2009 . Aamir made a grand entry and spoke at length about Taare Zameen Par which is slated for a World TV premiere soon on Zee TV. Apart from being the biggest hit ever, the fact that it has been chosen for the Oscars makes it a special movie not only for Aamir but also the entire nation. It’s a lesser known fact that Aamir is an excellent drummer. On Aadesh Srivastav’s request Aamir took to the drums and what ensued was “ papa kehte hain ” a walk down the memory lane… sung by Aadesh and Shankar Mahadevan, with Aamir on drums and Pritam on guitar. Strangely enough though, Himesh refused to participate in this blend. Ego problems?? Aasma, the most talked about girl of Saregamapa Challenge 2009 like always offered Aamir a part in her Arabic movie “ mere oont ko danda kyon maara .” He obliged her by promising to direct her movie. He also shook a leg with her on “ aati kya khandala ” and also blew out the matchstick with his tongue ala Ghulam . He was happy to see Vaishali and Yashita donate their prize money to Ahana, whose mother was brutally murdered. Aamir was deeply moved by the fact that Debojeet Dutta, a participant from Kolkata is a special child just like the character Ishaan in Taare Zameen Par and stated that he was honoured to be associated with such a show. A perfectionist that he is, he came dressed exactly in the attire and hairstyle of Ram Shankar Nikumbh, the character of the teacher of Taare Zameen Par .
