Abhishek Verma connects with his role Shobit in Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha, feels at home working with producers Sonali and Amir Jaffar

MUMBAI: Enjoying his run in Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha, Abhishek Verma expresses content to have got the opportunity to play a character like Shobit. The actor connects with the character and it seems the audiences’ also enjoying his performance.

“Shobit is one of the best characters that I’ve played so far. He is a family person and extremely emotional just as I am in real life. I feel lucky to have got this role. Shobit’s character has much depth and layers. There’s so much to do in it. I do at times take my character home. So yes there are days when I do a very heavy scene and it’s difficult to disconnect even when I leave the set,” says the actor who has been a part of shows such as Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Udaan and Pavitra Bhagya.

Verma shares the title of the show reminds us of the iconic song “Aapki nazro ne samjha pyar ke kabil mujhe (Anpadh ; 1962). I love old classics so every time I hear anyone say the title I have a montage in my head of Mala Sinha ji and Dharmendra ji romancing on this song,” he continues, “The response around the show has been good, touchwood. Shobhit is a very loving character, he’s a family boy who will sacrifice his own happiness for his sibling and his mother or anyone he loves and people surely appreciate that.”

Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha is produced by Sonali and Amir Jaffar of Full House Media. “My experience has been great with the team. It feels like home working with Sonali ma’am and Amir Sir. Although I’ve known Sonali ma’am since Yeh Hai Mohabbatein days, this is my first project with Full House Media and it feels great because the team is super good,” he adds.

With covid cases rising, ask if he is apprehensive about shooting and Verma answers in affirmative. “It feels like going to the battle field everyday! But there’s nothing much you can do about it so I try my best to take utmost care and follow all the dos and don’ts,” he says.

Verma shares that it’s an amazing experience to be a part of the entertainment industry. “The love and appreciation that we receive from our viewers is unique. For me entering this profession wasn’t for fame or money, but for the art of it. I’ve always been very passionate about acting and the love that I receive after a good day’s work. Nothing beats that experience. ,” says the actor, who would have been a cricketer or joined his family business if not an actor.

After a hard day at work, the actor spends time with family, prefers chilling with my close friends and plays with my adorable puppy.
