Arjun to wrap up by January...Nach Baliye to come in as a replacement?

Star Plus is definitely up for some massive programming change. The channel has already launched Veera (Beyond Dreams Productions) and Khamosiyaan (Trilogy Krikos and Thought Train Entertainment) and in the coming months it will throw in more projects as well. We hear that with Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon bidding adieu this Friday, Star Plus is bringing in Shakuntalam Telefilms’ Kaali as its replacement. Furthermore, we have also learnt that Arjun (4 Lions Films) will also, in most probability, wrap up in January (2013) and Nach Baliye will take up its slot. As per a reliable source, the channel has not been very happy with the way the show has been shaping up. In fact, the production house hasn’t been able to get a new girl after Sana Khan’s exit. “The broadcaster has asked the production to pull up their socks and get their acts together,” the source added. Therefore, to meet the channel’s demand the production is not only trying to rope in a new girl as soon as possible, but is also planning to build a new set. They are working on a new ETF office which will be an upgraded workplace for the team of Arjun. “The channel is showing sudden urgency and wants things to move fast with Arjun. The series might see a closure in January,” the source said. When contacted producer Gorky said, “We are currently working on our new set. And I haven’t received any kind of intimation from the channel yet on the show going off-air. But yes I have also heard of similar rumours.” Arjun currently airs on Saturday and Sunday at 8pm.
