Surveen Chawla in Hate Story 2

Buoyed by the success of his thriller Hate Story, that released early this year, producer Vikram Bhatt has decided to make a sequel of the film. But there is a significant change in the lead. Paoli Dam, who stars in the first part, is set to be replaced. Reveals Bhatt, “The film to be directed by Vishal Pandya will have Surveen Chawla as the protagonist while Sushant Singh plays the antagonist.” Bhatt also groans of his not being able to work with Vivek Agnihotri (the director of the first part) as he’s currently busy with his film Freedom. While Hate Story was high on adult content and nudity, Bhatt wants to change the nature of the sequel. “This time the film will not be about sex. It’s about a woman’s mind which I think is more dangerous than her body.” “Hate Story was perhaps too bold in its treatment as the story was about a woman, who uses her body for revenge. Though the title was Hate Story, the focus was more on sex which overpowered everything else,” details Bhatt. Surveen started her career with TV serials like Kahin To Hoga, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kaajjal. Later, she moved on to do a couple of Punjabi films.
