Irrfan Khan kicked to play a RAW agent in D-Day

Irrfan Khan is indeed going places these days with his recent successes Life of Pi and Paan Singh Tomari behind him. The actor will be seen playing a RAW agent in Nikhil Advani's D-Day that is being currently shot in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. While Irrfan's co-star Arjun Rampal had to work on his physique, Irrfan states his role didn't essentially require him to do any of that.

While Irrfan's co-star Arjun Rampal had to work on his physique, Irrfan states his role didn't essentially require him to do any of that. Says an excited Irrfan, "I play a RAW agent who is stationed outside Dawood Ibrahim's house in Pakistan. Unlike popular perception, RAW or secret agents need not have great physiques. Arjun has worked on his body and stunts, as he plays an army man." Interestingly, Saif Ali Khan and Salman Khan have earlier played RAW agents in Agent Vinod and Ek Tha Tiger respectively. Asked if he too will be seen romancing an ISI agent like they did, Irrfan laughed and said that his role won't be as glamourous. Interestingly, Rishi Kapoor will be playing Dawood in the film.
