WOAH! Dev Joshi's Balveer Returns will be back on TV soon; this is what the actor said

MUMBAI: In the pandemic, many television shows are finding it difficult to shoot and air fresh episodes. The show Baalveer Returns too hasn't shot new episodes and hence has taken a break. The lead actor of the show Dev Joshi, who has been playing the character of Baalveer for the past nine years, confirmed the news.

The actor is currently in Ahmedabad with his family since he was not shooting for the past one month after restrictions were imposed by the state government.

He says, “The kind of show we are doing needs many people and a lot of space. It's for our own safety that the production house decided to take a break in these pandemic times. I got a message regarding this in the evening yesterday. Now I am waiting and hoping to start shooting again soon when things ease off a bit."

Ask him about rumours that the show will not be back at all and he says, "I haven’t received any communication like that."

He further adds, “In a way, it's good that we are not shooting. The situation is getting worse outside and with new infection like the black fungus, I am also skeptical shooting. It is better that we stay at home and stay safe so that we can fight this out.”
Dev Joshi

Dev joined the show as a kid and has literally grown up on the sets. He says his bond with his character Baalveer is special.

“People always knew me more as Baalveer than Dev Joshi. But now thanks to social media, they know who I am in reality. Right from popular awards to the most prestigious President’s award, Baalveer has helped me achieve so much in life,” Dev adds.

But now he wants to focus completely on his studies as he would be graduating soon from his college.

“I have my exams next months and until now, I have been scoring the highest marks in my class and I would want to work hard for that this time too. I have subjects like economics, psychology and political science, which I love, so I am all set to burn the midnight oil,” he signs off.
