Must Read! Mariam Khan Reporting Live fame Sheena Bajaj reveals why she couldn't take up any project

In an interview, actress Sheena Bajaj revealed why she couldn't take up any project. Read on.

MUMBAI: Sheena Bajaj is a popular actress in telly town.

The actress, who is known for the show Mariam Khan Reporting Live, has been missing from the TV screens for some time. After her last show ended in January 2019, Sheena got married to actor Rohit Purohit (she got married within a few days after the show went off-air) and then she was not seen taking up any new projects. Has she taken a break from TV? She told Times of India, “Not at all! After Mariam Khan ended, I got married and then I got a little busy adjusting to new circumstances. Then the world got hit with the coronavirus pandemic and soon the lockdown happened in India in 2020. I was offered a few TV shows and even a film but things didn't materialise because of the lockdown. Frankly speaking, I was and still am very scared of coronavirus; this is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. Most of my friends who have been shooting or have shot last year or this year have got infected with Covid-19. And after seeing how serious Anirruddh (Dave) got, it has scared me to death. I don't want to take any risk. I have got my first dose of Covid-19 vaccine and won't take up any project until I am fully vaccinated."

Sheena underwent a major surgery around seven months ago. Talking about the same, she told the daily, "I underwent anal fistula surgery. I was on bed rest for the past seven months and only recently, I have started walking with the help of crutches. So this is also the reason why I couldn't take up any project. Now I am recovering and hopefully within a week or so I will be able to walk without any support. Usually, it takes around a year and a half for people to recover fully. But I am thankful to my mother and husband who have been taking care of me and without them, it wouldn't have been possible for me to recover so fast.”
