Gunjan Walia who has shows like Saath Phere, Aisa Des Hai Mera, Kesar etc to her credit has been away from the limelight for some time now. Tellychakkar.com in a quest to get to know her future plans had a conversation with Gunjan who emphatically stated that she has only taken a sabbatical from the small screen and not from the entire entertainment space. Gunjan told us, "Our event management company, E-Positive Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., managed by me and my brother is doing well. I am hosting living shows. Also, I have done a couple of Punjabi films (Mar Javaan Gud Kha Ke and Gur Naal Ishq Mitha) as lead. The regional market is booming and our company has decided to produce a Punjabi film, which will go on floor in April 2013. As for TV, I am in talks for few projects." Talking about the changing scenario in TV, Gunjan says, "For the last two years, the small screen has either wanted their lead girl to be the 16 years old or a mother. I obviously do not fit in both categories. I had even auditioned for the latter but the creative's themselves admitted that I am too young to play a mother. But now with shows like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain doing well, I really stand a chance to stage a comeback. I am realistic enough to know that there would always be limitations, but the role needs to be juicy enough for me to take it up." Gunjan would also love to try her luck in Hindi films. "I am game for anything interesting. As an actor I should not have boundaries; but at any cost I will not leave television. My fans all around India and even abroad send me birthday cards even today. The planetary position will change with the advent of the New Year and I am hopeful of having a new beginning."
