Ekta to host winding up party for Kkusum!

Kkusum completed a thousand episodes and went off air on 30 November. Not that many would have noticed. In the last few months, there had been too many plot changes, replacements and what have you. Obviously, then, there is no reason to have a bash to mark its end, yet we hear that Ekta Kapoor plans to hold a winding up party at her Juhu residence on 7 December. And it isn't just the Kkusum stars who have been invited. The invitee list reads more like a celeb who's who, with stars from other Balaji serials head of the list!

And it isn't just the Kkusum stars who have been invited. The invitee list reads more like a celeb who's who, with stars from other Balaji serials head of the list! Ekta Kapoor's secretary is busy in sending sms's and calling actors, we hear. Now we are curious - how many Kkusum leads will actually turn up for the party ? The way Manasi Joshi Roy, Nausheen Ali Sardar and Shweta Kawaatra had made their exits from the show, their presence at the party is distinctly doubtful. If you see them at the party, you can assume it's an attempt to re-build relations. As for Ekta, she loves her parties, whatever the excuse. Don't we all?? Nach Baliye in critical mode! As the show is on its last leg, tempers are flying high. And this not just with the celeb contestants, but also with the judges. Our sources tell us that in the episode to be aired tomorrow, judges will be doubly critical of the performances of the actors and the couples who are going to draw maximum flak are Manish and Poonam and Delnaz-Rajiv. With the final four in the race for the prize money of five million, Nach Baliye has now turned into a cut throat competition. Our source also adds that the above mentioned duo are in the danger zone...and although we know who's out........we like to keep secrets! Prime time shuffle on Zee TV! Major changes in the primetime slot are in the offing on Zee TV come 12 December! Putting all speculations to rest, Sarrkkar has now been made a tri-weekly, and will now be aired Wednesday to Friday at 8:30 pm. We have it on authority that Zee's game show, Kam Ya Zyaada's launch has been deferred to 12 December and will now be a one hour show, to be aired Monday to Wednesday at 10:00 pm.This 10:00 pm slot was earlier occupied by a Rabba Ishq Na Hovey, which will now be an half hour bi weekly (Monday and Tuesday) show to be aired at 8:30 pm. Sheetal Mallar to appear on Midnite Manual Supermodels, Sheetal Mallar along with Nina Manuel will be seen in Midnite Manual which will be aired on Zee Music on 1 December, 2005 at 11 pm. Nina and Sheetal who would be speaking in Tulu, to create humuor in the conversation, will be seen for the first time giving an interview on screen. The ladies would be clad in white to match the cause as this episode is World Aids Day special. An official admission? Karan Oberoi all but blushed when he opened the winner's envelope and found that the best actor (female) award had gone to co-artiste Mona Singh. When he read out Mona's name, he said,"This is a special award for somebody who's really special to me." Thus far the duo have been wary of expressing their emotions for each other. But when a beaming Mona hugged Karan and accepted her award, we thought they had admitted it in ways that couldn't have been possible otherwise! Ekta turns copycat! The Indian Telly Awards are one place where rivalrises dissolve into hearty camaraderie. Comedy emperor J D Majethia and soap empress Ekta Kapoor proved this at Sunday's event. When it was JD's turn to walk up for his award for the best weekly serial, JD jocularly asked the audience to check out his Friday evening show and help his ratings. Ekta, who laughed uproariously at the remark, tried the same stunt, albeit in a different vein when it was her turn to say her bit after winning the best continuing serial award. "Watch my serial now from Mondays to Thursdays, and please watch it on Fridays too!" The fact that both of them could share a laugh over the matter is an indicator that not all rivalries are cantankerous, wot say?
