MUMBAI: Debut year in the film industry is like a stepping stone to achieving success. It is the very initial stage of the entry in Bollywood. Several stars are remembered ever since the time they made their debut in the film while there are actors who become popular with that one turning point in their career. Talking about debutants, many stars were lucky enough to have multiple releases in the first year of their career in the film industry.
Namely Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, Hrithik Roshan, Kangana Ranaut, Kriti Sanon, Preity Zinta, Saif Ali Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput among others.
1. Abhishek Bachchan
Abhishek made his entry in Bollywood in the year 2000 and he had three releases that year - 'Refugee' opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, 'Tera Jadoo Chal Gayaa' alongside Keerthi Reddy and 'Dhai Akshar Prem Ke' where he romanced his then-future wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the first time.
2.Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Aishwarya was crowned Miss World in 1994, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her movie debut with the Tamil film Mani Ratnam's 'Iruvar' released in 1997. The same here she made her Bollywood debut with 'Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya' opposite Bobby Deol.
3-Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar made his acting debut with the film 'Saugandh' released in the year 1991. He was later seen in a film titled 'Dancer' which released the same year.
4-Ananya Panday
'Student of the Year 2' released got postponed and hit the screens in 2019, Ananya Panday had two releases that year. She was later seen in 'Pati Patni Aur Woh' with actor Kartik Aaryan and actress Bhumi Pednekar.
5-Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan had three releases in his debut year which is 2000. The actor was first seen in 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai', then 'Fiza' and his final release of the debut year was 'Mission Kashmir'.
6-Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut made her acting debut with the 2006 film 'Gangster' helmed by Anurag Basu. In the same year, she was seen in 'Woh Lamhe' directed by Mohit Suri.
7-Kriti Sanon
Sanon's movie debut was a Telugu flick opposite '1: Nenokkadine' which released in 2014. She made her Bollywood debut the same year with 'Heropanti' opposite fellow debutant Tiger Shroff.
8-Preity Zinta
Preity Zinta had a wow debut in the year 1998. She was first seen in Mani Ratnam's 'Dil Se' alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala. Soon after that, Preity starred in Abbas-Mastan's 'Soldier' opposite Bobby Deol.
9-Saif Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan made his debut with Yash Chopra directorial 'Parampara' in 1993. The film had a cast including Sunil Dutt, Vinod Khanna, Aamir Khan, Ashwini Bhave, Ramya Krishna, Raveena Tandon, Neelam Kothari and Anupam Kher. The very same year, Saif was also featured in 'Aashik Awara' opposite Mamta Kulkarni. The actor was also seen in 'Pehchaan' with Suniel Shetty, Shilpa Shirodkar and Madhoo.
10-Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali Khan also had multiple releases in her debut year 2018. She first starred in Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kedarnath' opposite late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Within a few weeks or so, her second film Rohit Shetty's 'Simmba' starring Ranveer Singh in the titular role released.
11-Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan made his Bollywood debut in 1992 wherein he had four major hit releases. The romantic superstar first starred in 'Deewana', soon after that 'Chamatkar' hit the screens. SRK was then seen in 'Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman' and was later seen in 'Dil Aashna Hai'.
