MUMBAI: Sony SAB TV's popular show Wagle Ki Duniya has become one of the most adored sitcoms with their light-hearted comedy and a loving family drama. The show is a perfect blend of joy, emotions and lots of laughter.
Wagle Ki Duniya - Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey first premiered on 8th February 2021 on Sony SAB and stars telly actors Sumeet Raghavan and Pariva Pranati in it's lead roles.
For the unversed, the show is based on characters that are created by noted Indian cartoonist R. K. Laxman. His prime subject has always been a common Indian man from a middle-class background and what sort of issues this common middle-class Indian man goes through and encounters on a daily basis.
While Sumeet Raghavan plays the lead role of Rajesh Wagle, a simple and middle-class Indian man who's professionally a manager in a courier company; lead and co-actress Pariva Pranati plays the role of his on-screen wife - Vandana Wagle.

Apart from these two, there are other parallel leads like Chinmayee Salvi (as Sumeet-Vandana's daughter Sakhi), Sheehan Kapahi (as Sumeet-Vandana's son Atharva), Aanjjan Srivastav (Srinivas Wagle - Rajesh's father), Bharati Achrekar (as Radhika Wagle - Sriniva's wife and Rajesh's mother), Deepak Pareek (as Advocate Dakshesh Joshipura), Amit Soni (as Harshad Aggarwal), amongst others.
However, with the onset of the nationwide lockdown 2.0 owing to the deadly impact of COVID-19's second wave throughout the corners of this country, many improvised lockdown protocols came into action which was specifically directed towards the entertainment industries, with the shifting of the leading shows' shoot locations outside Mumbai (since the city was worst hit). Hence, many shows' shooting sets panned out in different cities and locations outside Mumbai like Goa, Daman, Silvassa, Hyderabad, Siliguri, etc.
With this, Wagle Ki Duniya's team headed to Silvassa to shoot the rest of that month's episodes therein. Owing to this urgent shifting and their old age and health conditions, the show's aged actors - Aanjjan Srivastav and Bharati Achrekar (protagonist Sumeet Raghavan's on-screen parents) could not afford to dislocate themselves from the city and move with the show's team to Silvassa, owing to speculated health hazards back then.

Now that regular show shootings have commenced back in Mumbai, WKD's senior-most actors Aanjjan Srivastav and Bharati Achrekar are all set to re-enter the sitcom as Srinivas and Radhika Wagle, that too on the show's 100th episode. Yes, you heard that right!
Tonight, the popular sitcom will be ringing into it's 100th episode to mark it's first century. This is indeed the double-dhamaaka surprise news for all Wagle Ke Duniya fans as the Wagle family is all set to finally reunite as the 'Big Wagle family'.
