Disheartening! Pratyusha Banerjee's father on their financial crisis: This case took away everything from us, we are now forced to live in one room

Late actor Pratyusha Banerjee’s father recently spelt out about his money problems and how he lost everything while fighting for his daughter’s case. He revealed that due to financial problems, he was forced to move into one room and take loans

MUMBAI: Late actor Pratyusha Banerjee gained popularity after starring as Anandi in the famous serial namely Balika Vadhu. Taking us back to the year 2016, Pratyusha died of suicide. Though it was reported she killed herself, her parents believed it to be a homicide.

The actor’s mother was seen file a case against her boyfriend, Rahul Raj Singh, blaming him of abetment to suicide. Currently, Banerjee’s father opened about his money problems and how he lost everything while fighting for his daughter’s case. He expressed that due to the financial crisis, he was forced to move into one room and take loans.

“After this accident, it seems as if some terrible storm has come and has taken everything away from us. We did not have a single penny left with us. We have lost everything while fighting in the second case,” Shankar Banerjee told AajTak. Shankar further says, “We had no support other than Pratyusha. She was the one who took us to the sky and after her departure, we have returned to the floor. Our life is going on like this. We are now forced to live in one room. This case took away everything from us. Many times, there has been a situation where we were forced to take loans.”

Giving more detailed information he added that his wife is currently working in a child care centre. Even though they are short of money, the actor’s dad mentioned their courage is still intact and they will fight for it. “Anyway, a father never gives up. I want to fight till my death for Pratyusha's rights. Pratyusha's victory is our last hope and I am sure we will win one day,” he ended.

Banerjee’s boyfriend model-actor Rahul Raj Singh said that he is eagerly waiting for the day when the court will clear his name which is related to this case. He states that he did not kill her but her parents’ greed did. Both the parties blame each other for the happening. Rahul mentions that Pratyusha was unable to 'satiate their endless demands' eventually led her to take the drastic step.
