MUMBAI: Actors Jaideep Ahlawat and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub have teamed up together for the making of the Indian remake of the British mystery drama series namely 'Guilt'. The yet-untitled show will be directed by Shaad Ali. His previous work includes 'Soorma' and 'Bunty Aur Babli'. Satish Kaushik, Mugdha Godse, Shruti Seth, Tina Desai and Maya Alagh are also part of the upcoming project.
This particular Indian version of Guilt will have a storyline that revolves around brothers. The name of two brothers is Dalijeet and Jaggi.
Talking more about the details of the story we get to learn that the elder brother Jaggi enjoys wealth and his perfect life while the younger one named Daljeet strives hard to survive in running a vintage book shop which is also like a cafe. Their life takes up many new twists and turns, this is when a major accident takes place. This develops a distrust which brings in fights between them.
The project will be produced by Aditya Birla group's Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios India. Shaad quotes " The concept is highly engaging, and we have strongly endeavoured with Applause to bring home yet another global format which oscillates between the nuances of brotherhood, suspicion and consequences of choice. I am sure the show will manage to strike a chord with the audience."
Tina Desai, Shruti Seth, Satish Kaushik, Mudgha Godse and Maya Algah are also part of the project.
