However, the diehard fans are willing to see him back on the small screens soon.
Well, Iqbal hasn't announced his next TV show yet but there's a pleasant surprise awaiting his fans.
The actor's hit TV show Tumhari Paakhi is back. Yes, you heard it right!
Tumhari Paakhi is currently airing on the small screens on Azaad. Isn't that great news?
Iqbal was paired opposite Shraddha Arya on the show. The duo played Anushuman and Paakhi's role in the popular series.
In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, Iqbal got candid about the show and also shared some fond memories.
Speaking about Tumhari Paakhi's re-running on TV once again, Iqbal said, ''I can proudly say that I have done some good work on TV. Tumhari Paakhi has been one of my favourite shows purely on the basis of content. I actually really liked working on the show. The show definitely has a TV touch to it but the emotions were so universal.''
Further talking about a quality he has imbibed in his life, ''The good part of Anushuman was that when the show started he was a different personality and he completes changes in the mid-way of the show. Nobody is born bad, jealous and insecure. These are the emotions one can work on. If there are people are you who can help you with that, things can work out. In Anushuman's case, there was Paakhi.''
The actor further revealed an interesting thing about Tumhari Paakhi.
He said, ''It was also a show which was shot like a web in terms of set. We had shot the last scene of my character when we had gone for the shoot in Shimla. It was a tight script that we followed from day one. The show was based on Sharad Chandra's novel.''
Tumhari Paakhi airs on Azaad at 8 PM.
