MUMBAI: Television actress Mandira Bedi is well-known for her contributions to the Hindi entertainment and showbiz industries. She gained prominence as an Indian actress, fashion designer and television presenter and gained outstanding household recognition for procuring and executing these professions extremely well.
She embarked upon her showbiz journey by debuting on the small screen by playing the titular lead role in the 1994 television serial - Shanti, which was telecasted on the Indian national channel - Doordarshan. In 1995, she also debuted on the silver screen by playing Preeti Singh in Bollywood's one of the most cherished iconic films of all times - Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

Later, as her on-screen character underwent plastic surgery after an accident, Mandira quitted Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and was replaced by Achint Kaur, who carried on Dr. Kapadia's role on-screen.
Apart from all this, Mandira has been the epitome and sophistication and confidence while hosting major cricket tournaments like ICC Cricket World Cups (in the years 2003 and 2007) and the Champions Trophies (in the years 2004 and 2006) as well. She went on to host the Indian Premier League 2, which premiered on Sony Max and led the coverage of IPL season 3.
