MUMBAI: Zee TV show Meet is soon going on-air and the audience cannot wait to watch the show as it not only brings a fresh pairing of Ashi Singh and Shagun Pandey but the concept of the show is also very unique.

The show is touted to be a remake of popular Bengali show Bokul Kotha. It is a story of Meet, a tomboyish girl, who looks after all the responsibilities of her family. After much drama and confusion, she gets married to Rishi who has rejected around 40 women already. The makers have already released the first promo which features Ashi Singh. Produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions, the cast boasts of Shagun Pandey, Ashi Singh, Vaishnavi Macdonald, Sooraj Thapar, Aditya Rao Nuniwall among others.

Today, as the channel announced the press conference, Shagun Pandey, who plays the titular role in the show said, “I think this show gave me a good opportunity to perform. The writing and script is great and Shashi Mittal and Sumeet Mittal have brought a great script with two different characters but the same names. The character is also performance oriented. My character of Meet feels that women should pursue their aspirations but in a certain way and with grace. For example he wants his better half to be like his mother.

On a personal note, I feel that jobs are equal for men and women. There should not be any limitations and everyone is free to follow their aspirations. (Also Read: EXCLUSIVE! Guddan Fame Pratham Kunwar gets CANDID about his character in Zee TV's MEET)
