MUMBAI: Chhavi Pandey, who is seen in Shubh Laabh - Aapkey Ghar Mein, has been acting since 2012 but initially wanted to make a career in singing.
The actress says, "My first television show was Teri Meri Love Stories where I played the role of Dr Smita Kumari Bansal. In that show all the songs that were telecast were sung by me. But after that I never got an opportunity to sing in any of my shows. I hope I get a chance, I would be more than happy to do it.”
She adds, "When I was in Patna, I had even got a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture in classical music. I have all the instruments which are needed for practice sessions. I love playing the harmonium and I have a tanpura as well. On the days when my throat is strained after speaking a lot on the sets, I don’t strain it further. But otherwise I never skip my sessions."
