MUMBAI: Here’s a piece of sad and shocking news! Kannada television actress Soujanya is no more.
The actress reportedly ended her life recently. She was apparently found dead in her apartment on Thursday morning. The actress was a native of Kushalnagar in the Kodagu district. She had acted in several serials and a few Kannada movies. She was identified by the police by the tattoo on her legs. Currently, investigations are underway.
Various angles to the incident are being probed while reports suggest that the police have been trying to investigate the steps leading to this unfortunate event. A suicide note was also recovered at the scene.
As per a report in ETimes, the note revealed that the actress did not blame anyone for this step and said that she alone was responsible for her suicide. Further, she asked for forgiveness from her parents. Though she did not have any health issues, the note suggested that the actress suffered mentally due to various situations in her personal life. Finally, she mentioned all the people who helped her.
Soujanya was quite a popular actress in both TV as well as cinema. Her tragic death has sent shockwaves in Kannada showbiz. Recently, actress Jayashree Ramaiah had also ended her life due to various mental health issues. Three dates were mentioned on the death note - September 27, 28 and 30. As per the police, Sounjanya had allegedly decided to end her life three days ago. Soujanya's mortal remains have been sent to Rajarajeshwari Medical College for post mortem.
