Raakesh Paswan, who as a writer developed shows like Hamari Devrani, Bhagyavidhaata and then went on to produce Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo and Afsar Bitiya under the banner of Village Boy Productions will soon be back with a family drama on Star Plus. A certain section of the media has already reported that the family drama is tentatively titled Hum Saath Saath Hai.
We now hear that the major cast of the show is more or less finalized. Young lad, Rahul Sharma who essayed the principal role in Beyond Dreams’ short story in Star Plus’ Teri Meri Love Stories has apparently been roped in to play the male lead. New face Priyanka Khandwal who has done many commercial ads has been finalized to play the female lead. Sachin Chhabra who was last seen in Sahara One’s Niyati will in all probability play the parallel lead.
Our source informs us, “Rahul Sharma was the find of Beyond Dreams and they wanted to cast him in one of their upcoming shows. However, they have apparently released him and Rahul remained under Star Plus’ contract post Teri Meri Love Stories. He has now been cast for Raakesh Paswan’s upcoming show.”
The serial will be a unique family drama, with a fresh thought and punch of comedy.
When contacted, producer Raakesh Paswan refused to comment.
