Tina played the role of Ichcha Veer Singh Bundela in a daily Hindi soap opera Uttaran which aired on Colors T.V. for more than 6 years (2008-2015)

The actress made her film debut in Rituparno Ghosh's 2003 movie 'Chokher Bali' at age of 16 alongside Aishwarya Rai. She later played the role of young Lolita in the 2005 Hindi-movie Parineeta.

Tina Dutta has also acted in Bengali television soaps like (Khela) where she play eda thug who Dipankar De hires to spy on his daughter-in-law (Sudipta) and (Durga).

At the age of 5, Datta acted in a television serial called 'Sister Nivedita'.
