MUMBAI: The OTT platform has given a second life to many careers over the last few years. The digital medium proved to be a saviour for artists who weren’t getting the kind of work they desired on the big screen, in the meantime giving them a much larger reach. It made stars out of actors like Jaideep Ahlawat and Shefali Shah.

Even a lot of yesteryear superstars like Sushmita Sen made their acting comeback in a leading capacity on the medium. And now the ’90s superstar Raveena Tandon is all set to make her digital debut next month as she announced the release date of her maiden web project, Aranyak, which will stream on Netflix.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote, “Ek aisi kahaani jiske piche chupe hain kayi aur kahaaniyaan. Jaanna chahte hain aap? Watch #Aranyak on December 10, only on Netflix.” The series will see Raveena play a cop on screen and its first look was released earlier this year when Netflix released a glimpse of its slate of upcoming releases.
Raveena was last seen on screen four years ago in the films Maatr and Shab. After that she judged the celebrity couple dance reality show Nach Baliye 9 and appeared as guest judge on a few other reality shows. She also appeared in the remake of her song ‘Sheher Ki Ladki’ for Khandaani Shafakhana, alongside her original co-star from the song, Suniel Shetty.
Apart from Aranyak, Raveena also has KGF 2, where she plays a strong grey character. Raveena also has a comedy with Ahmed Khan in the pipeline, but there hasn’t been any development on the project in a while.
