MUMBAI: Bigg Boss 11 fame Sapna Choudhary is in legal trouble. An arrest warrant has been issued against the Haryanvi dancer by the court for cancelling her show and not refunding the ticket amount to the buyers.
The court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Lucknow has fixed November 22 as the date of the case hearing.
A case was filed against Sapna at the Ashiana Police Station in October 2018. The organisers Junaid Ahmed, Naveen Sharma, Iwad Ali, Amit Pandey, and Ratnakar Upadhyay have also been accused. It is alleged that Sapna had to perform at Smriti Upvan on October 13, 2018. Tickets of Rs 300 were sold and it was scheduled between 3 and 10 PM.
However, the actress didn’t appear for her performance, following which a ruckus was created at the venue. The audience and fans demanded their ticket money to be refunded, which has not been fulfilled until now.
A petition was filed by Sapna seeking the cancellation of charges and closure of the case. But she was denied any relief as the court rejected her plea.
