MUMBAI: It feels like yesterday when the news flashed everywhere that Pakistani artists were banned from performing in India past the terrorist attack in Uri that eliminated 19 Indian soldiers. But we guess, where there is tension between the two neighboring countries, the OTT platform is going to play a major role in bringing India and Pakistan together.

Whenever we think about Pakistani romantic duos, the charming Fawad Khan and gorgeous Sanam Saeed are amongst the most loved on-screen jodi. The duo is all set to reunite after eight long years of their successful show, Zindagi Gulzar hai. The show will be directed by Asim Abbasi, who has touched millions of hearts with Cake and the hit show Zindagi Original Churails and will stream on Zee 5, though the title of the show is still a mystery.

In a blink of an eye, Fawad Khan made headlines everywhere with Pakistani dramas, Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2013), Humsafar, and very soon he even captivated the big screen with his mind-blowing performances in films like Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

"I think Zindagi is taking bold and brave decisions when it comes to storytelling. It's naturally evolving into a platform that encourages diversity of opinion and inclusiveness for all filmmakers and material ranging from everyday mainstream to avant-garde and noir. According to the makers, the series blends together "magical realism and supernatural fantasy within a family reunion setting", dealing with the themes of love, loss, and reconciliation.

"Fawad plays a single parent - charming but ridden with guilt for what he has lost. With his son, he tries to be every bit the father his own father was and wasn't. Sanam plays the central female character in the series. Harboring otherworldly secrets, she takes it upon herself to heal, and make whole, everyone who surrounds her," the note from the makers read.
