MUMBAI: Actor Anjum Batra has been winning the hearts of the fans over time with his amazing acting contribution, the actor is known for his movies like Dev D, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, Namaste England and now the actor is getting some amazing responses from the fans for his recently released movie 83 which has Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the leading role.
Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with the actor Anjum Batra with regards to his acting journey where he also spoke in detail about the types of characters he looks forward to doing on digital platforms.
Anjum Batra on his acting journey
Anjum Batra says he hails from Punjab and coming into the acting world was never part of the plan, initially, he was into singing and not acting, he is a trained classical singer. Over time, his love for acting developed as he was into School dramas and plays. The actor decided to pursue his career in acting and it was the year 2008 when he got his first ever acting break with the movie Dev D. Throwing some light on his acting journey, the actor says he is very fortunate to be part of some amazing projects and collaborate with such a talented bunch of people. He also looks forward to entertaining people with his part.
Anjum Batra on the types of characters he looks forward to doing on digital platform
Indeed we can see some amazing content being made on digital platforms especially after the 2020 lockdown. Having said that, the actor also looks forward to doing some good stories and good characters on digital platforms. Anjum Batra says that he is very hungry for good characters as an actor. Pointing out specifically, the actor says that he would definitely want the character of a Gangster who is a dangerous man in the show.

Anjum Batra on the most challenging phase of his life
Anjum Batra says that initially when he came to Mumbai in the year 2009 to make it big in the acting industry it was a very difficult process for him. There was a time when he was looking for work for two years and it was quite a challenging situation for him as he was looking forward to doing some amazing projects. The actor also says that it was a great learning experience for him and no doubt it is the hard work and dedication of the actor because of which he could make a strong mark in the acting industry.
