Ramcharan Teja: “It’s such a cowardly act. I am told most of the victims were school kids. My heart reaches out to them. From now on I’d definitely think twice before allowing any of my loved ones to go to public places ,no matter what the occasion. Today we need to worry not just about an act of terrorism but our country becoming accustomed to such attacks. That’s scary.”

S S Rajamouli (filmmaker): “I really can’t understand what they hope to achieve by targeting innocent people and bystanders. And they do this in the name of God?! Which religion or faith teaches killing innocent people to be a holy mission? How much more insanity would prevail before reason and rationale are restored? I am deeply saddened and deeply angered. Frankly, bomb blasts and terrorist activities have stopped frightening me. This is after I came to know some nerve shattering statistics. At an average 300 people die because of terrorism every year in India whereas 14,000 people die in road accidents every year. A sobering thought.”
Mani Shankar(filmmaker): “The city is in a panic. People I know personally are injured and crippled . I have friends and their relatives in hospitals. The deal toll seems higher than reported. And it could happen again in upmarket areas. No one feels safe anymore.”
Namrata Shirodkar (married to Telugu star Mahesh Babu): “It’s a very very sad moment for all of us. All our prayers for the families and loved ones of those who have lost their lives or are injured.”
