A page from the personal diary of Avinash Mukherjee Hello everyone, this is Avinash Mukherjee aka Jagdish of Balika Vadhu fame (Colors). Today I am here to brief you about myself. I was born on 1August 1997 in a Bengali family. Then, we used to reside in Noida, Delhi, but later we had to shift to Mumbai because my father Dev Mukherjee was working here. Since long, my father was working in this television industry and was very passionate about acting during his times. I was lucky enough to have inherited his talent. Acting isn’t my passion but it’s a platform to realise my dreams. I always wanted to be world famous, glamorous and leave a signature mark of mine among my fans. It happened like this: my father took me on the sets of a Balaji Telefilms’ show when I was just 6 year old and it was there that I got an inspiration to work towards realizing my dreams. At that very moment I decided to become an actor. Balika Vadhu happened after a year’s struggle with time and life. So, by the time I got into acting, I was free of camera fright as I was already well versed with the art. Since my father was in this industry for long, acting was never an issue for me because he has always been with me in every single moment of my life. My father has been my real Guru without whom I wouldn’t have got to ride this cinematic giant wheel. My Papa scolded me, pampered me, patted my back, inspired and guided me through all the ups and downs of this field. When I got my first New Talent Awards (which is a property of Tellychakkar.com), he was the one who was standing proudly in a corner with tears dropping from his eyes. That was the moment when I saw him crying for the first time. I personally never wished for television; it just happened to me because my personal interest was to be in films. But now, I have decided to do a film when the correct time arrives. Right now, I am just 15 year old and am waiting to be 18 so that I can get into movies. Right now, I am concentrating on my 10th board exams. I am one who never fears exams because to me, life itself is an exam and everybody has to struggle to succeed. So readers, I think that is all for now. I have to rush home to study. I will catch up with you later after I finish my last paper. Till then take care, adios amigos.
