MUMBAI: India's Got Talent is an Indian reality television series on Sony TV. The show follows the global Got Talent format, in which contestants audition in front of three judges and a studio audience.
Up until the semi-final and final rounds, the judges decide whether or not a contestant advances in the competition. During the semi-final and final rounds, viewers vote on which contestants will advance.
Season 9 of India's Got Talent is hosted by Arjun Bijlani, and the judges of the show are actresses Kirron Kher and Shilpa Shetty; rapper Badshah; and lyricist, poet, and screenwriter Manoj Muntashir.
The talent has not only shocked the judges but also the audiences.
Shilpa Shetty has been judging many dance reality shows, but this is the first time she would be judging India’s Got Talent.
Today, during the press conference, Shilpa said how initially, she was skeptical about judging the show, but it was the makers who convinced her. She didn’t want to do back-to-back shows on television.
During the press conference, TellyChakkar asked Shilpa Shetty the merits on which she judges the contestants.
The actress said, "For me, any performance that touches the soul is the winner, as I believe that an ordinary performance can also touch your soul if one performs from within. An example is the performance of Ishita. She sang so well but her voice touched our hearts, where everyone was left in tears."
She further said, “I have judged many dance reality shows, but this is the first time I am associated with a show like this, and it’s a huge responsibility on me m. If the performance touches me and is out of the box, I would select that contestant.”
We are sure that as usual, Shilpa Shetty would rock the judge's panel on this show too.
Well, the show is all set to premiere tomorrow on Colors at 8 PM.
