A page from the personal diary of Mudit Nayar Hello everyone... This is Mudit Nayyer who you all know as Jeet from Sony Entertainment’s ongoing show Anamika. Today, I am here to brief you about myself. To start with, let me tell you that I was born and raised in Allahabad where my parent’s stay currently. Later we shifted to Delhi where I completed my schooling. After some time, my family again shifted to Allahabad but I stayed back in Delhi and finished my graduation in Commerce from the Allahabad University (correspondence). I know it is little perplexing. But that’s the way I have lived. Talking about my journey, I shifted back to Allahabad to help my dad in his leather export business after my graduation. Now here comes the twist… One fine day, my dad came up and asked me to try my hand in acting. Since he was keen to see me on television, he asked me to proceed to Mumbai and try my luck in television. Now, it’s been three years that I am staying here in the mega city. After coming here, I did a three-month acting course from Barry John’s acting school. Soon I started getting offers for advertisements and till date I have done around 15 to 20 advertisements the popular ones being Tata Tea, Sony Ericsson, Reliance 3G, Parle Monaco with Aamir Khan, Colgate with Sonakshi Sinha, Pizza Hut among many others. Along with my advertisement stints, my hunt for television shows was also on. After giving a couple of auditions, I got an opportunity to do my first TV show Palampur Express. But after 30 episodes, I quit the project. Then I tried my hands in films and got a chance to be part of the Ajay Devgn- starrer Aakrosh and the Anil Kapoor-starrer Tezz. Later I did an episodic of Teri Meri Love Stories in which I was seen with Shilpa Anand and Viraf Phiroz Patel. And like I mentioned above, I am currently doing Anamika. Summarising my journey, I think my life has been content and blissful. I am enjoying my portrayal in Anamika; it’s a different kind of a show and my role in it is very challenging. I am happy to note that I have got lot of appreciation and acknowledgment from the masses. On the personal front, I like watching movies and also like to see theaters. Most of my fans don’t know that I have lost twelve pounds. After watching myself in Aakrosh, I was shattered and went in depression. I worked on my body knowing clearly well that an actor needs to have a well-toned body. So, friends, this is my journey in nutshell. Let me thank you all for watching Anamika. Please keep loving me.
