The much watched adventure show Roadies is now on a new journey. The audition for the next season of Roadies was scheduled for 12th October in Mumbai but was eventually cancelled. We were informed that this was due to a huge number of people applying from Mumbai. Since this was unmanageable they decided to hold auditions online. This is the first time in the history of Roadies that an audition is being conducted online. Though the first round of auditions is being conducted online, the short listed participants will have to come on ground for another round of audition. General Manager of MTV India and Vice President of Creative and Content Ashish Patil said, “In the light of the overwhelming response received for the Roadies auditions, it was physically impossible to be able to audition everyone coming on ground and would have also been unfair to limit it to these few cities given that not everyone could or would be able to travel to Mumbai. So we’ve decided to open it up to all through online. So you can audition from the comfort of your own home. All you need is an internet connection and the Roadies attitude.” This is indeed good news as aspirants can by-pass never ending queues under the scorching sun.
