MUMBAI: Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya left their fans shocked when they informed them about their decision to part ways. Samantha and Naga Chaitanya, who got married in October 2017, issued a statement on their respective Instagram handles to announce their separation.

Samantha, known for her acting prowess, had posted a romantic note for Naga Chaitanya on their wedding anniversary. She had dropped a photo with her then-husband on social media along with the caption, "The greatest thing about my life is that I come back home to you everyday. Happy anniversary to the part of me I am most proud of @chayakkineni."

The Eega star, who had wished Chay in style on their wedding anniversary, was seen making a goofy face in the photo while striking a pose for the camera. She deleted the post from her official Instagram handle after announcing her split with the Premam actor. The picture is now going viral after it resurfaced on social media.

On the professional front, Samantha will be next seen in Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. She will share screen space with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in the Tamil romantic drama, which is slated to release in April 2022, while Naga Chaitanya will make his Bollywood debut with Laal Singh Chaddha starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles.
