MUMBAI: Karan Johar had earlier signed Vicky Kaushal for a romantic comedy. The yet-untitled film will apparently see the Udham Singh actor sporting a new look of a lover boy while Laila Majnu and Bulbbul actress Tripti Dimri will play the leading lady.
The film has been in development for the past few months and is being widely discussed in the trade for its fresh pairing. Love Per Square Foot (2018) and Bandish Bandits fame Anand Tiwari will direct and co-produce it under his banner Still & Still Media Collective.
The upcoming project went on the floors. Vicky and Triptii will be shooting at a Mumbai studio for a month. Post that, they will head to Delhi and a few other locations in North India.
The report also suggested that the makers will do one final recce there before they roll with their second schedule. Ammy Virk is also a part of this project. The source revealed that it is an extremely entertaining and unique script, but also has an important message for the audience.
Vicky Kaushal recently wrapped the shoot of Laxman Utekar’s next untitled film with Sara Ali Khan. He also has Aditya Dhar’s ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’, ‘Sam Bahadur’ and ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ in the pipeline.
