Happy Birthday to Jeetu Malkani, Shaheer Sheikh and Karan Goddwani

On your birthday you may be inclined to eat, drink and party hard. However, you shouldn’t drink and drive at the same time. That is exactly what Jeetu Malkani (Pranay from Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki) is doing on his birthday today (26 March, 2013). He has a well stocked bar at home to which his friends added to by gifting him scotches on his birthday. He will however ensure that his driver drops home all the guests who drink at his party. While in college, he had thrown a birthday party in his home with a disco tech theme. His friends had got tipsy with drinks and had slept at his home. He cherishes that birthday. He also has fond memories of his sixth birthday in which his dad had thrown a party in a hotel to which 350 people had been invited. He loves to see the video tape of the party as he is fondly reminded of the days when he was carefree. On growing a year older on each birthday, he feels less carefree. “Growing older reminds me that yet another year has passed by. It brings to me added responsibilities and reminds me that I have a lot more to achieve in life.” Whereas Jeetu is partying hard on his birthday, Shaheer Sheikh (who was in shows like Kya Mast Hai Life, Best Of Luck Nikki, Jhansi Ki Rani and Navya..Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal) believes in not celebrating his birthdays. Shaheer has in fact told his friends not to gift him anything. He explained, “Why are birthdays such a big deal? I don’t believe in celebrating a particular day. In fact I told my friends that I am out of town to prevent them coming to my home at midnight with a birthday cake.” Nevertheless, his fans showered him with gifts and cards. He has received show pieces, accessories, chocolates, a bracelet with his name engraved and Maggi noodles (as they read in an interview that he loves eating Maggi). He wasn’t joking a bit when he said that his best birthday was the one in which he had completely forgotten that it was his birthday. His worst one was when he was stuck in a traffic snarl while driving to a desolate place. On growing a year older the actor feels, “I now realise that when I was younger I had done many stupid things.” Karan Goddwani (who has acted in shows like Jugni Chali Jalandhar, Rang Badalti Odhani, Sanjog Se Bani Sangini, Chhal-Sheh Aur Maat, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?) tentatively plans to catch up with the team of his former show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? after his shoot is wrapped up. He is currently playing Johnny, a jinn in Jeannie Aur Juju. A cake cutting was organised on the set. Karan who was in the middle of a shot hurriedly told us, “On growing a year older, I feel as if I am old enough now.” We wish all these talented actors a delightful birthday!
