Shilpa Shetty replaced; Aishwarya Rai Bachchan comes in as the judge in Shriman Vs Shrimati

File this under one we saw coming!!! She is very popular, beautiful and super talented. And she has been away from screen space for quite some time now. Who are we talking about? Well, none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Aishwarya, has finally managed to shed all those extra kilos post pregnancy, and is back embracing the world of showbiz. But this time around, she won’t weave magic on 70mm, but on television. Yes, you heard it right. Aishwarya will be seen as the replacement of Shilpa Shetty. “Aishwarya did not want to get too busy with film works as she wanted to be with her kid, Aaradhya. Hence, she took up Shriman vs Shrimati as it would mean less stress and also a welcome dabble in the world of entertainment,” said a source. So why did Shilpa back out? The answer is that she has a lot of prior commitments to fulfill which include taking care of her IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals and also working on her latest fitness DVD. In fact, we also hear that she is in talks with Karan Johar to act in Dostana 2. Hence, she opted out of the show and Ash was roped in. We just hope that the green-eyed beauty manages to make it big with her TV debut just like her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan did with KBC (Kaun Banega Crorepati). We contacted Aishwarya’s Manager who said, “Yes, there is a surprise in store for all.” The show will air from 6 April 2013.
