MUMBAI: After modelling for numerous advertisements and companies, John Abraham made his film debut with Jism (2003). This was followed by his breakout antagonistic roles in the top-grossing action thriller Dhoom (2004) and in Zinda (2006). He was later critically praised for Water (2005) and Baabul (2006).

John is gearing up for the release of 'Attack'. Recently, during an interaction with Shilpa Shetty, John had revealed he does not have any social media apps on his phone and is also not on WhatsApp. He also added that he will be off social media very soon.

At the film’s trailer launch, John spoke about going off social media soon. He said, ''It is a very powerful medium, especially for me, because I am an animal lover. So to protect animals, it is a great medium. But my problem is, I don't know how to use social media, I am not good at it. So when someone's not good at something, then why be there?''

He also opened up about his film clashing with SS Rajamouli's 'RRR'. He said, ''We have been assured of good screens. I have a lot respect for Rajamouli sir and his kind of cinema. But we also have a respect for what we have done. We are definitely not number two to anyone.''

The much-awaited trailer of John Abraham’s Attack: Naye Hindustan Ki Nayi Fauj dropped recently. Directed by Lakshya Anand, part 1 of the franchise also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh, Prakash Raj, and Ratna Pathak Shah in the lead roles. The action-thriller with a dose of sci-fi will see John turning into India’s first super soldier as he takes on the baddies.

Attack is set to bring alive a world where future wars will be fought on technology and artificial intelligence. Keeping to its promise, the trailer opens with John attempting some daredevil stunts, while being monitored by artificial intelligence. Through the 2.30 minute video, we get to see that John’s character has volunteered for a one-of-a-kind experiment with cameras and mics fit into his body, to make him the ‘super soldier’.

Stay tuned for more news from the entertainment industry.
