We got in touch with Akriti aka Riya Bhattacharje to know about her reaction to bagging the show, character and more.

How do you perceive your character in the show?

Well, there are a lot of layers yet to be unfolded for sure, the character is really fresh and I am enjoying every bit of it. Akriti is still under the wraps I feel, there is still a lot more to get unveiled from her end as we have just begun exploring. So yes, I would want the viewers to stay tuned to her side of the story as well.

You have been a dog and cat parent for a while, tell us about it?

Yes, that's right, I have been running this foster home with my partner and dear person Abhijit Das, we have rescued more than 10-15 dogs and cats till now and we run Pyar Foundation together. We believe that just like us even they need the same love and care and all that we are doing is just to give them shelter as well and protect them from the dangers.

Tell us about your journey of being a dog and cat parent?

Trust me, initially, I was only a cat person and I was really scared of dogs but then when I first rescued our kid, my love and perception completely changed and now I feel I am totally devoted to their well-being and I always try to give more to them and help them grow healthy. The journey has been beautiful and I would really want to tell everyone to actually be a little sensitive towards them.
