Team Highway shoots on actual locations in Haryana; treated to some delectable homemade meals

These days Imtiaz Ali and his team have been shooting on real locations for his latest film Highway that traverses through the roads of six Indian states. Highway, as the name suggests, is related to road so it’s being touted as a Road Romance film. The film is being shot on real locations in interior Haryana. On the very first day of shoot on one such real location in Haryana, Imtiaz and his crew were shooting in a house at a village on the outskirts of Faridabad. Maybe it was the enriching interactions they had with the team, the residents of the house invited the entire cast and crew for a home-cooked meal after the pack-up for the day. Imtiaz being a foodie that he is, graciously accepted the offer and so after the shoot got over, Team Highway was treated to a simple but delectable meal of dal, sabzi and roti with loads of home-made desi ghee. Yum! For people who are unaware, Highway was first conceived around the time when Imtiaz made Socha Na Tha in 2005 that was produced by Sunny Deol and had his first cousin Abhay Deol starring. At that stage, the Jab We Met and Rockstar director actually wanted to make this film with Sunny and Preity Zinta. Since it got deferred, the casting changed and now Randeep and Alia are playing the roles that were meant for Sunny and Preity
