She has also done a couple of films in the Hindi as well as the South Indian industry.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Sucheta who spoke about her favourite genre, dream role and much more.

You are known for playing a variety of roles, but most of your comic characters are still remembered by fans. Which genre is easy to perform, drama or comedy?

Personally, I love doing comedy as the atmosphere around the workplace is lovely. There is a lot of fun doing comedy. You get to improvise a lot. Comedy is my personal favourite but that doesn't negate any other genre that I want to or don't want to do. But I just love doing comedy.

You have worked in several films. How did you strike a balance between film and TV?

The movie is a different ball game altogether. In a movie, you shoot one scene in three days, and on TV, we shoot more scenes in a day. We have time constraints and deadlines to meet with. So, we need to work on those lines. Whereas in movies, it is a little easy as the release can be postponed. But one can't compare TV and films. Eventually, an actor is an actor irrespective of where he is performing.

I get a little impatient when I am shooting for a movie. If I am on a three-day off during an outdoor shoot, I feel like I don't have work. After a time, I actually got used to it. But when it comes to TV, we don't get that kind of privilege. The shootings happen cut-to-cut and you are back home. There is no time for getting off.

A dream role you are looking forward to playing on-screen?

There were a lot of dream roles that I wanted to play. Any role that comes to me, as of now, is a dream role for me. I need to give my best shot. But there are a lot of dream people whom I wish to work with. I want to work with a good bunch of production houses. There are a lot of moviemakers and TV personalities I want to work with.
